Survarium Key Giveaway! Get into the beta test right here (UPDATE: all gone!)

Survarium

By on July 9, 2014 at 1:36 pm

Sorry everyone, but it looks like those 1,000 keys went really fast! We’ll try and get some more if we can.

The good folks at Vostok Games have sent us through 1000 keys for their STALKER-esque MMOFPS Survarium — and they’re yours for the taking!

Only the Teamplay PVP part of Survarium is currently available for testing, so please bear this in mind if you were hoping for some single-player action. If that sounds good to you, then hit up the widget below, put in your email address, and you’re away!

Vostok recommend that beta testers stay up to date with any changes via their Twitter or Facebook feeds, so follow along there as well.

Have at it!

I’ve been in the beta for some time now this game looks gorgeous awesome and plays awesomely, the only problem is that the servers are in Russia so the lag is horrendous but by all means get a key more Aussie players the better :)

What’s the tone of it like – same STALKER survival horror feel? Or a bit more chilled?

Sweeeeeeeeeet.

how do you download the client? i made an account but its a confusing site, i think i may have applied to the pottery making section somebody help

spike4379,

Check your email.

ausjoker,

well atm it just death match where you have to get batteries and store the / protect them from the opposing team. its fun and the atmosphere is really good and the environment are really awesome and stalker-ish i guess we will get more of the survival horror feel when the fully realised game comes out

*cough* < Organised with VG to give GoN the keys for fellow Aussies :)

Right now it's just a concentrated PvP system so they can test and balance everything a lot faster than if they released the open world first, on non-iiNet group ISP's the gameplay can be a bit dodgy due to poor routing, but I worked with Daryl Collins from iiNet a while back to greatly improve the routing for us :P

Co-op and freeplay modes, as well as EU, NA and possibly AU (not SEA) servers will come later on. (I'm working with Joe from VG to try and see if GoN will host the Aussie server themselves.)

Also spike, to download the game after you've put the code in, click the big 'play now' button on the front page.

Download speed is more painful than an episode of Neighbours

cozie,

Yup, I’m stealing my brother’s fast internet and it’s still slow. Shame that the gameplay would be severely influenced by the Russian servers too.

Fingers crossed this is the game for me. I love Stalker, I am open to an online equivalent.

Use the torrent option in the launcher and set your own port number, that seems to help.

Ok I played a round. It is laggy as sin! I knew this would happen though, considering there are no aussie servers.

So far, with its limited mode (not going to judge the game for it) it is CoD with a stalker theme. Terrain looks nice, guns are fun and sound brutal too.

Oh no, how did I miss this?

I check GoN daily but I seem to have checked it just before this was posted and just after it expired.

Interestingly, it went much faster for me after I disabled the torrent option. Went from between 1 and 10 KB/s to 100+

For those desperate to play, there’s a beta key lottery on the survarium website. I accidentally entered and won as I was trying to figure out how to input code from GoN.

BTW, games alot of fun.
