Double Action is the free 90′s action movie slow-mo FPS missing from your empty life

Double Action Boogaloo

Your Thursday going a bit slow? It could be going slower, if you were playing Double Action and you did a sideways dive off a building in slow-motion, firing your dual pistols John Woo style at your friend’s head.

Double Action (check the official site) is a new free FPS Source mod you can play for yourself right now. All you need is Steam and the base Source multiplayer SDK, which you’ll be prompted to download if you don’t already have it (you probably already have it).

Here’s a link to the latest build on ModDB. Grab it and have a look! Check out the trailers below and convince yourself. Mad as hell.

Reminds me of The Specialists/Opera/Action Half-life.

Yeah I was going to say, this was great when it was called Action Half-Life.

The Specialists meets Gunz

Isn’t this called Max Payne?

Yeah it’s pretty sweet how things can remind us of other things. I also use my memory often to store information

I did this until the age of 14, from then on all information in my family was stored in our set of encyclopedias titled Trivial Pursuit, although it didn’t have all the answers to life’s questions, it did help me to establish that 6 pieces of cheese could fit into a wheel, 6 being a number close to the devil, that divides by 3, twice, 2 being the number of half life games release, and 3 being the missing game.

Cas Bitton,

And what’s six times 1 times 2? 12 – 1 + 2 equals 3

Mind blown? Well hold onto the remains because 1 and 2 together makes 12 and what is 12 times 1 times 2? 24 – 2 + 4 equals 6!!! And what if we go the other way – 12 divided by 1 divided by 2? 6. And if you put the six pieces of the cheese wheel next to the two 6s I got what do you get? 666 THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST

Cheese confirmed

That ammo counter.

Looks to be basically The Specialists : Source, the Lobby (Matrix) map is almost identical.

It’s a bit late, also doesn’t appear to be much of a graphical improvement over the HL1 mod.
