The Steam Summer Sale continues folks, confusing us with its weird Summer Adventure metagame thing and plying us with cheap video games. Today’s daily deals feature a whole host of great grabs, so if you still have money to spend, check out the Steam Storefront:

  • Battleblock Theater – 75% off at $3.74 USD
  • Borderlands 2 – 75% off at $9.99 USD
  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning – 75% off at $4.99 USD
  • Outlast – 75% off at $4.99 USD
  • Planetary Annihilation – 66% off at $16.99 USD
  • South Park: The Stick of Truth – 33% off at $36.81 USD
  • The Wolf Among Us – 66% off at $8.49 USD
  • Tomb Raider – 75% off at $4.99 USD
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance – 50% off at $14.99 USD

Meanwhile you can also still get good deals through the flash sales every eight hours – the current deals are:

  • Lost Planet 3 – 75% off at $12.49 USD
  • Orion: Dino-Horde – 90% off at $1.49 USD
  • Spelunky – 75% off at $3.74 USD
  • X Rebirth – 50% off at $24.99 USD

And the current community’s choice selection still has close to six hours to go, during which time you can get:

  • Brütal Legend – 80% off at $2.99 USD
  • Darksiders 2 – 80% off at $5.99 USD
  • Mount & Blade: Warband – 80% off at $3.99 USD
  • Titan Quest Gold – 80% off at $3.99 USD

On a serious note – does anyone have any tips for fancying up Chicken & Corn flavoured Two Minute Noodles? I planned tonight’s dinner with my lady love well before the Steam Summer Sale ever began and I may have talked up my cooking ability beyond what my pantry and wallet will now allow. Along with the noodles, you can also use one rasher of bacon, half a cucumber, two potatoes and some mayonnaise which is past its expiration date, but still smelling ok. And… Go!

Kingdoms of Amalur is a great buy for $5. That’s if people are big on action based combat, fully voiced acted dialogue (except for protagonist) RPG with a large world and an unnecessary amount of quests to do.

Yeah, Amalur I think, has been tainted by its sales record – people heard it wasn’t doing well enough to cover itself and decided it must be awful. Which is usually a good judgement, but unfair wrt Reckoning, which, admittedly, is no Skyrim or The Witcher, but is leagues ahead of the Euro trash which makes up the rest of the ‘epic’ RPG genre (with a few exceptions like Two Worlds 2 and the like)

Gonna wait for South Park to be cheaper :D

I planned to grab South Park but that’s not enough of a discount. If it goes to at least 60% I’ll buy it.

Pretty slim picking so far to be honest, the usual curse of already owning a ton and picking up these on other sales I guess. Was hoping to get a bunch of missing DLC’s but (most of) these seem to be following the standard pattern of 75% off for the game, less than that at around 50% off for it’s DLC. =(

If anything I’m slightly ahead from selling these card thingies and not buying much of anything.
Here’s hoping to be wowed over the remaining week.

If you can afford 1 capsicum, 1 tin diced tomatoes and 1 onion then you can make an epic sauce with that bacon for those noodles or for baked potatoes. ;)

also I’d get X rebirth if it was $5, but without any multiplayer why would I pay more when I already have X3 TC and XR has 1 ship and hasn’t worked well yet?

it’s not too bad of a price for a game that only came out about 6 monthes ago (or something like that :P)

trb: also I’d get X rebirth if it was $5,

I’d recommend spending that $5 on a random game and gifting it to someone. It will bring much more joy into the world.
