Neverwinter’s Icewind Dale module now available to level 60 characters

When I played Neverwinter I would come across a dark elf named “Drozzt”, or “Dryzzt”, or “Drizzette” (or any other mangling of Drizzt) approximately once every seventeen seconds, and that frequency is only set to increase with the launch of Neverwinter‘s new Icewind Dale module.

The module, which is technically called “Return to Icewind Dale”, even features the iconic wizard Akar Kessell from the first Drizzt novels, and you can battle against him and his new plague of Black Ice. The patch notes are quite extensive, but it’s only available to high level players so you’re best just reading through it yourself if you’re at the top end of the game. For everybody else, here’s a trailer.

Ah, how disappointing. From the title I thought that someone had taken Baldur’s-Gate-running-on-NWN2 to its next logical step and managed the same trick with Icewind Dale.
