SEGA and Relic have announced that a new, standalone multiplayer installment in the Company of Heroes 2 franchise will arrive in June.

Titled The Western Front Armies, this multiplayer-only package will be priced at $19.99 and includes the US Forces and the German Oberkommando West, as well as eight maps.

I’m not 100% clear on how it works, but the press release goes on to imply that the standalone will have cross-matchmaking with the original Company of Heroes 2 in both directions, regardless of what players own. Which is pretty neat!

Not unhappy about this. Sure they could have explored other nations of WW2, but USA and west Germany army will be amazing in CoH2 engine.
