EVE Online now rewards you for luring escapees back into its clutches

In a move no doubt accompanied by maniacal laughter, CCP have begun what they call the Recall Program for EVE Online, in which still participating members of the EVE Online universe can earn rewards by reaching out to ex-players and offering them seven free days of game time, getting them back into the game almost immediately.

The rewards change each month and CCP have a wide variety of goodies on offer, including unique items and even PLEX. Of course, getting your friend to jump back in isn’t enough – rewards are only sent out once they follow up their seven free days with a subscription for at least 30 days.

I’m sure there are ways this isn’t like an evil drug dealer from a morality play, I just can’t think of them at the moment. If you’d like to learn more, check out the official site, which is also where you should go if you’re a current EVE player who wants to take advantage of the Recall Program.

How many times can an account use referral links?
I understand each referral link has a one time use, but could I keep using referral links to get more time?

Haven’t they been doing that for years?

Eve, the game you pay not to play.

Ok, if you guys are feeling weak, just remind yourselves…Dog Fighting Module reveal in three days.

I understand it’ll be launched in April (and after the reveal on 10 April) but is there a date yet?

kendrite,

Soon(tm) after the reveal :P

This offer is also valid for people using a PLEX to resub.
Tempted to drop my code in here, one more for a free (well for me!) PLEX.

anonemoose,

I’m pretty sure similar to WoW the account must have been inactive for at least a year or two to qualify for rewards (usually any accounts prior to the most recent expansion).

haha yeah it’s like $60 a month for me to play this with 4 accounts.

If they would update mining and POS like they said they would a few years back then I might consider it.

Until then it’s kind of a glorified PVP game.
