Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion now live on all servers

The long-awaited first Diablo 3 expansion, Reaper of Souls, has just gone live on servers across the world.

The expansion brings with it a new act, a new character class, and comes just after the addition of a major loot system reworking — and the removal of arguably the game’s most contentious feature, the auction houses.

Reaper of Souls also comes just after Blizzard launched their Australian servers, meaning you can now play Diablo 3 on sweet, sweet sub-50ms pings. games.on.net and iiNet have worked out a special peering arrangement with Blizzard which means iiNet customers get faster, higher-priority access — read all about that here.

Go on then! Those souls aren’t going to reap themselves.

I enjoy reaping people.

 

And now all my friends will be playing this instead of the base game with me. :C Though I guess I should solo my first playthrough seeing as everyone speed runs the game (it’s why i’m not the biggest fan of coop >_> ).

 

I’m on Internode and I’m not seeing < 50ms pings.. thought I can't complain with < 80 I suppose :D

 

On all servers except the ones I try to connect too…

A bit laggy for me tonight but still playable, to be expected I guess. I played for about 2 hours and got a pig sticker! Happy :P

 

So I’m now 70 have done a few rifts and while the game is fun to play … it’s still unrewarding an hour worth of hunting bounties and doing rifts won’t get you much.
