Dark Souls 2 is From Software’s second PC game ever, and the very first it has developed alongside console releases as opposed to porting. With the first Dark Souls, the developer was open about its inexperience and intention to knock out a cheap and dirty port, but it’s taken this one more seriously and we’re quite excited to see the results at the end of April.

Anyway, From Software has released the dark RPG’s system requirements, which you can peruse below:

    Minimum

*Happy nod* S’not so bad. I always get the ‘Souls’ games on PS, but that’s not a bad settings group.

Wow those recommended specs are rather low. Not that I’m complaining mind you, first time in a while my system way outdoes recommended specs in quite a while…

“Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo E8500″ – Doesn’t exist.

It’s strictly a “Core 2 Duo E8500″.

As for the “NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT and ATI RadeonHD 5870″. – They aren’t even comparable, one is a direct x 10 part with orders of magnitudes slower in performance.
Someone with a Radeon 5870 is going to have a far more enjoyable experience than someone with a Geforce 9600GT.

The ironic part about it is, the Radeon 5870 that’s listed as “Minimum” is actually a faster card than the recommended Radeon 6870.

They should fire anyone who handles writing the system requirements.

I’ll just go back and get my souls and human… *Falls off a cliff*

… And now I hate myself and want to die!

Yeah. Being dead hinders my ability to play as well. :(

I guess being undead and playing this game would add a certain level of reality to the proceedings though.
