Pantheon and Shroud of the Avatar backers to receive cross-promotional item

Ultima successor Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues and EverQuest designer Brad McQuaid’s new MMO Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen have entered into a cute little bit of crowd-funding in-love.

Both titles are offering a unique cloak to backers who pledge on both projects. In-game, the cloak bears a symbol from the opposite title.

If you’re keen, you can back Pantheon on Kickstarter and Shroud of the Avatar on its website.

The promotion itself is less interesting than the fact that Richard Garriott’s Portalarium and McQuaid’s Visionary Realms are apparently in cahoots despite the fact that their games will potentially be positioned as rivals.
