Blizzard have issued a reminder that the real-money and in-game-gold auction houses for Diablo 3 will be closing next month, on March 18. Technical details of the shut-down, including how it will affect your Battle.net balance, will be issued next week.

In further Diablo 3-related news, Blizzard’s own developers have been live-streaming themselves playing their own game, including some back-and-forth discussion between themselves and people on the steam about the upcoming expansion. Take a look at the recording below — and if you’d like to see more, why not check out our own gameplay videos here and here?

There’s also a neat video with Aussie streamer ZiggyD, here:

It’s a leap-February year. Two Februarys. ;)

Wow. AH Shutting down. Reaper of Souls releasing soon with a revamped loot system. This just might be enough to bring me back into the world of Diablo! still going to wait on the reviews though before deciding on a purchase.

myself, my 3 brothers and a few mates thinking the exact same thing :D

D3 was my first dabble into the diablo series and I admit I had a load of fun but the second I encountered the AH I lost all interest, it just didn’t seem right for that type of game.

Along with the rest I might get back into it!

somexspec,

Give the original a go then, it’ll blow your mind.

Seconding this. The Original oozes atmosphere the second you load it up.

Yeah, I’m in the same boat and really enjoyed D1 until I got stuck fighting King Leoric. Not stuck as in can’t beat him. Stuck as in can’t physically get past him without dying. That was in my second file, the first seeing me unleash the butcher at a really low level, who then chased me to the stairs. I ran out of money for potions, so I decided to start again.

D2 is a real clickfest though. Maybe it’s because I’m going back to it form another time, but I can’t see what the fuss was about. More games need OP teleport spells though.

Reaper looks really good but uni is starting and I don’t think I have time to get sucked into an ARPG again D:

I certainly am looking forward to the expansion. According to my character tallies I have about 60 and 20 in 2 characters (hours) definitely got my money worth, and looking forward to the new gameplay additions.

I played with a couple of friends for the most part, which made things really cool. It was almost like a drink and chat, playing Diablo 3… Lol
