Wednesday Bargain Wrap (15 Jan 2014): The Secret World, Darksiders, Kain and more Kane

The Secret World

Here at we know exactly what it’s like to have to suffer under the Australia Tax, and so we’re bringing you a new regular segment once a week that rounds up some of the best bargains from across the internet.

In this week’s issue, Amazon offer some good prices on The Secret World and Alice, while Bundlestars offer some neat bundles including titles like Syberia and Stealth Bastard. There’s also some great prices on Darksiders on Steam, too.

A lot of Amazon’s sales from last week are still going on this week, including Bioshock: Infinite and Borderlands 2. But here are some new things!

There are a couple of decent looking bundles over at Bundlestar this week, as well as some discounts on the Syberia series.

The Cities in Motion bundle includes the original game and all DLC. Each other bundle includes ten games that fit loosely into the theme, there are lots of them so I’m not going to type them all out! Click through for more details!

The sales over at GamersGate this week are mostly the different incarnations and DLC of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Orcs Must Die! 2, Cities in Motion 2 and Awesomenauts. It seems like all the DLC is on sale for each of these games but if I were to list it all, especially in the case of Awesomenauts, we would be here all day. So if you’re after and of the DLC for these games, check out GamersGate.

Speaking of themes, it seems like the theme over at Green Man this week is the name ‘Kane’. Or ‘Kain’. Both spellings, in fact. We’ll call it the Kaine Klearance. Yes.

The Humble Store

Firstly a bit of a signal boost for the current Humble Bundle – it’s still the same deal as was going this time last week, but since then it seems like they’ve added even more games. We don’t even deserve generosity like this. As well as unlocking Reus and Surgeon Simulator 2013, if you pay more than the average, which at the moment sits at $5.31, you will now also unlock HOARD, Strike Suit Zero, and Toki Tori 2+.

But on to the store!

Steam Store

The Darksiders franchise on Steam this week is HUGE. Not only do you get both full games, a season pass for Darksiders II ensuring you’ll get all the DLC for basically nothing. For that price, that is ENORMOUS. All the DLC is discounted individually as well, so if you’re missing some from your collection, seems like a good time to pick it up!

The Jedi Knight Collection is also a pretty good deal! While all of these games are a little bit older, they are absolute classics. Dark Forces was probably one of the first real video games I ever played. Good memories (of playing the first level and a half over and over again.)

Finally, Tim Schafer’s first adventure game in sixteen years, the one we all Kickstarted two years ago, Broken Age, is set to release later this month. If you didn’t Kickstart it, you can pre-order this beautiful hand-painted masterpiece at the moment for 10% off. You can also pick up its original orchestral soundtrack, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Puzzle Quest and Puzzle Quest Galactrix can also be picked up on Steam for $1 each today.

EDIT: Hotline Miami is $2.50 this week on Steam too (as is the soundtrack if you’re into that sort of thing).

Hotline Miami is already in there, but thanks for the heads up on Puzzle Quest!

Disappointment is realised every time I click on these posts to find that there is no Wednesday Bargain Rap to go with the Wednesday Bargain Wrap…

Sweet relief is realised every time I click on these posts to find that there is still no Wednesday Bargain Rap to go with the Wednesday Bargain Wrap.
