Grand Theft Auto 5 listed for PC on Amazon

Here’s yet another little bit of evidence to file away in your practically bursting “proof Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PC” folder. Amazon.de, which like most of the super-retailer’s European storefronts is notoriously leaky, has popped up a listing for GTA V on PC.

The really remarkable thing about this is that at time of writing the listing was still up and publicly searchable. “Grand Theft Auto V”, it sayd. “Windows 7/Vista”, it says. Also quite a lot of things in German including an age rating and a notice that this product is not yet available, all of which sounds much more amusing in the tongue of the Fatherland.

Why Rockstar hasn’t thrown six flavours of wobbly over this when it’s still officially pretending a PC port isn’t happening, I don’t know. Possibly it’s just the slow arm of international bureaucracy. Maybe it’ll be gone by the time you read this. Maybe it really doesn’t exist and someone at Amazon in Germany put too many sugars on their Das Wheaten that morning.

Thanks, SomeXspeC!

I just hope it isn’t someone playing a trick!

Gawd I need a username change!

Wow I’m totally convinced now. Leaked documents and files from R* themselves showing PC stuff in it? Couldn’t possibly be real. Amazon, who have often released information way in advance with no evidence? Looks legit to me, must be the real deal.

collect0r,

I try my hardest.

Posting in appreciation of Das Wheaten.

Looking at the Amazon website it had Titanfall under the “customers also bought” section, which Google helpfully translated as “Titanium Case”. Wonder if that’s some sort of special edition?

Russacky,

It was always happening. It’s too much of a money making machine for Rockstar to pass up

dragon9000,

Of course it isn’t happening. It’s all fascist propaganda developed by the evil capitalist developers at R* in order to control the enfeebled minds of consumerist slaves. It’s their first step in seeking global domination as a multinational syndicate, I’d say more but I thought I saw a black van parked outside…

GTAV was a great game back in the day. Moar news about current-gen titles please GoN.

“Grand Theft Auto V”, it sayd.”
Is that supposed to be ‘says’ or ‘said’? I can’t tell.

Also you’d have to be pretty naive to believe that GTA5 would not come to PC.
