You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.

With Christmas only two days away, we’re officially locking the doors and turning out the lights here at games.on.net — so if you’ve already hit the egg nog too hard and you’re trying to sleep it off quietly under one of our many tables, I’m sorry — you have to get out.
(This applies only to our front-end news and reviews service, of course — our games servers and forums will continue to stay operational.)
It’s been wonderful having you all with us here in 2013, a year of great gaming and great community good times. We’ll be going dark from now until Monday January 6, when we’ll re-open for business, dust off the cobwebs, and get back to providing you with what is, unquestionably, Australia’s biggest and best PC gaming site. Represent.
On a personal note I’d like to thank you all for another year tolerating my rambling idiocy as your resident Editor-in-Chimp, and offer my gratitude for your support, love, loathing and/or hatred (delete where not applicable) — the site wouldn’t be what it is without you all and I love you to pieces.
To the game admins, thank you for another fantastic year of keeping our servers cheater and griefer free, and for all the hard work you do without a cent of payment in return. And to my staff and writers, keep up the good work or I’ll break your damn legs.
Love you all. Have a safe and happy Christmas, and we’ll see you in 2014. Don’t forget to enter our Game of the Year Reader Awards! That $2,400 laptop isn’t going to win itself!
