Star Citizen’s latest Hangar patch makes hangar changes permanent

Roberts Space Industries has updated Star Citizen‘s Hangar module once again, and while it’s not the most exciting patch in the world it does feature some exciting things. Chief of which is client-side persistence – now any changes you make to your hangar will be permanent, making using your hangar significantly less frustrating.

As mentioned in the official patch announcement you can now change your various ships’ loadouts, exit the program, log back in and enjoy looking at your still set up ships. Fish tanks have also been redesigned, with new decorations like coral and space crabs, and trophy cases have been implemented to allow everyone with fancy gold tickets and model ships to show them off.

Another public-facing Hangar update for Star Citizen will apparently be implemented before the end of the year – and while things are being kept quiet at the moment, it’s expected to be a doozy. To read up on all of the new additions and bug fixes in the latest Hangar patch, read the aforementioned the official patch announcement or the official Hangar Patch thread on the RSI Forums.

I wonder if there’s been more waves of tears, from the have nots, over at the forums now that the Golden Tickets have reared their shiny golden faces again!
I welcome these fixes but we all know that we’re waiting for the Dog Fighting module or atleast the firing range…

I’ll have to log in tonight and look at my GT… soo shiny.

If the world threw $40+ million at me in good faith, I’d probably make a $5,000 program called Hangar Simulator, pack my bags, and head for the Mexican border.

Hang on a minute….

ooshp,

Do you honestly think that’s all they’ll release? Or are you baiting?

If you managed to upset that many people around the world, Mexico would be a bad BAD choice of hidding place. The moon would be your best bet.

Mexico would be fine, neckbeards arent going anywhere near the border.

Star Citizen PreAlpha Hangar Patch 9 & News – Friday 13 Dec 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBW8qYMLXNU

client-side persistence does NOT seem to work at all ,
tested it with TWO accounts

Some interesting changes to the deluxe hanger and the conie
cutlass was removed and I happened to find some HIDDEN
animation files for the upcoming ASTEROID HANGER

Persistence works in mine, although it’s only ship load outs. My daughter has a knack for getting the buggy stuck in strange places so it’s good thing that resets.

I got a lesser Hanger now and my Cutless has vanished. But I’m sure it will pop up at some point again.

I don’t think I’ll bother with these hanger updates anymore, each one is over 3gigs and not much changes..
