Bad news I’m afraid, friends; that Fallout 4 trademark application filed in Europe has been rejected on grounds of being a fakey mcfake-fake, along with a couple of others which should raise warning flags as soon as you look at them – Shenmue 3 (never going to happen) and Half-Life 3 (may not ever happen).
What makes this all so very grieving is we got a bit excited about this one because of its proximity to next month’s Spike VGX, which is sure to show off some new, in-development titles, and to the appearance of a teaser site, which you’ll note we did mention at the time looked pretty dodgy.
In short: the whole flurry of excitement appears to have been in vain. Bethesda is working on something, and has been since Skyrim wrapped, but we’re no closer to knowing what that really is.
