ArmA 3 “Adapt” campaign announced, launches January 21

The second campaign for everyone’s favourite greater than life military shooter ArmA 3 has been announced. Titled “Adapt”, it reportedly picks up from where “Survive” left off, presumably somewhere in the Mediterranean where most of the NATO forces have all quit because the Europeans couldn’t be bothered funding their budget.

I kid, I kid. Still, there is plenty to look forward to in the second episode, especially since it teases an escape to the greatest ArmA 3 land of them all – Altis. “While the first part of the campaign focused on the basics of infantry combat, this second ‘Adapt’ episode plays with the other cool features of Arma 3’s sandbox,” ArmA 3′s playable content lead Jaroslav Kasny quipped. “Players will find more open and unorthodox scenarios, and with the help of guerrilla warfare, set out to defeat a much stronger enemy.”

I hope that doesn’t mean you’ll be fighting The Juggernaut or anything. ArmA 3′s hard enough as it is. As an additional cherry, Bohemia will publish the episode’s new sandbox content on December 11 (US time). That’ll include the Wy-55 Hellcat helicopter, a FV-720 Mora and a MBT-52 tank, as well as a new sniper scope, grenades and other Team America-approved accessories.

I hope it is better than the 1st one, that was pretty ordinary and had quite a few bugs. I like the game but they’ve got a long way to go when it comes to single player execution.

yeah but the only person in the world that plays arma campaigns is mellie so doesnt really matter ;)

Not true. I play ‘em too :P

Part 1 – Sep. 12
Part 2 – Jan 21
Part 3 – May-June ?

The first campaign was surprisingly enjoyable, but I can’t take this news without a strong feeling of cynicism because of how delayed these campaign packs are, when they were all supposed to reach us by 12th September.
