Titanfall not delayed on PC, does not require Windows 8

Titanfall

Respawn have confirmed that, unlike many games these days, Titanfall will not be suffering a mysterious PC delay.

“Titanfall is releasing simultaneously for XB1, 360, and PC,” confirmed Respawn’s Abbie Heppe to Rock, Paper, Shotgun.

“It does not require Windows 8 on PC.”

Titanfall will release in Australia on March 13, two days after the US. We’re very excited about it, and here’s why.

Mech hands and a two handed mech weapon, ewww!

This comment has not been delayed. It has been published exactly when intended. Expect further on-time comments from J-Me in the future.

Looks like a good game. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Cross fingers it has proper servers, clan unranked/rental ranked ,
server browser and no regional price hikes for Aussies

I am not downgrading to Windows 8.x/8.1 for any game. Its a fugly tablet interface on a desktop

Er… you reported this fact here on this site a few days ago.

We did? Can you link me? I can’t find it!

I check this everyday and did not see them mention this previously either. It may be another site who got the news before GON.

Gave me a heart attack, read that it was delayed and required Win8. Phew. Breathe. Gah. Glad its all good news.

Hmm – I swear this article previously mentioned the three release platforms as well as the date:

http://games.on.net/2013/10/titanfall-dated-for-march-13-next-year-400-collectors-edition-unveiled/

See my comment at the end of the thread, which I posted at the time.

Gotcha. And true! This does seem repetitive. However it’s good to get official confirmation that there will be no PC delay (and no Windows 8 req).

I wasn’t so much complaining as pointing out that you already had the scoop!

Anyway… giant mech/wall running action on PC. Win!

I foresee this game selling really well but getting old after a few hours.

spooler,

Yeah I agree. I’m not fond of how easily the Mech’s can be disabled.

Now we need confirmation of proper dedicated servers (like CoD 4/5 and Battlefield), fov sliders etcetera to please us PC gamers instead of pandering to the consoles…
