Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, Silent Hunter 5 available for free online

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

By on November 6, 2013 at 10:57 am

UPDATE: It looks like the keys are now gone, with the key page showing up blank. Try it and see for yourself, but the brief period of free games may be over.

ORIGINAL STORY: games.on.net regular Spkypwnsuall has sent through word that German gaming magazine Gamestar.de is apparently giving away free Uplay codes for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Silent Hunter 5.

All you need to do is head along to this link for Prince of Persia and this link for Silent Hunter, click the image, and paste the key that comes up into Uplay (click the gear icon on the top right).

I’ve verified this with both games and can confirm that it works. Spkypwnsuall tells us that this information was found at this Steam group here, and it seems above board — perhaps somebody who reads German better than I can help us understand.

Im guessing its a nice little ploy by GameStar (a German PC gaming magazine/community) to get a whole lot of extra traffic through their website :).

Looks like you can also get keys for Hawx, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, End War and Tropico 3.
If they all work is the question though…

Sorry where did you find those other links? I tried navigating through the homepage, and by removing the Assassin’s Creed from the address but to no avail…

I tried the other keys before writing this up, and Uplay wouldn’t redeem them.

You can try them here though, if you’re keen!

Best of luck to you!

Thanks for that :)

Ahh, good to see ya found them Tim!
Haven’t tried the other keys myself. After seeing hints at other games in the steam forums I did some googling on the keys link and those others turned up in the search.

lordporksword,

Is there any others I missed? I sent in all of those reported, but only the ones in the title worked.

Silent Hunter 5 one isn’t working for me which is unfortunate. Only one of the five I really wanted =p

Others work fine though, including the extra 3.

Non worked for me so guess its no free games for me :(

You can keep clicking on the pic to get extra codes.(just close the code window that opens) Maybe keep trying until you get a working one.

lordporksword,

NOPE DON’T DO IT.
Ahem, Got banned for 60 mins for having wrong codes about 10 times in a row, so uh, don’t do it.

Aphyosis, try typing the code in capitals with the dashes between each set of letters. Worked for me!

Thanks GoN for passing this on. Now to blow some sh*p up…

unitzero,

Thanks for the Tip, but i don’t even get a code, just an empty window :(
