Minecraft to add Twitch.tv streaming right from the client

By on November 4, 2013 at 2:21 pm

One of the big announcements out of this year’s MineCon is that streamers will soon be able to stream directly from within Minecraft using Twitch.tv.

“Minecraft has struck a very powerful chord with the Twitch community,” said Twitch marketing VP Matthew DiPietro at the event. “Its constantly escalating popularity illustrates that people love to watch video games outside of the headline grabbing eSports titles.”

“Expect a watershed moment for both players and spectators once the ability to easily broadcast gameplay directly to Twitch goes live.”

Now the entire internet can watch me clumsily flee down a mineshafe, pursued by hissing creepers. Hooray!
