In a delightful piece of news this morning, the UK’s most widely-read newspaper The Sun has mistaken the Sarif Industries cybernetic eyeball implant from Deus Ex: Human Revolution for a real thing.
As part of a feature on “Amazing Gadgets Just Around the Corner”, The Sun claims that “such technology is in its infancy now but will be commonplace to our grandkids”, and even references Sarif Industries, with a picture of the eye taken from game concept art.
Unfortunately we are a long way away from Sarif Industries cybernetic eyeballs, though the sooner we can can get to work on robo-legs that let me leap seven metres vertically into the air, the better.
Hey, did you know there’s a new Deus Ex game coming out?
