Total War: Rome 2 taking pre-orders for ‘Blood and Gore’ pack DLC

If you like to see big sprays of arterial blood when your tiny men collide on the battlefield, then SEGA have got you covered. The Blood & Gore DLC pack features “hundreds of gruesome animations” that bring combat “to viscera-splattering life with decapitations, dismemberment and devastating impalements”.

Creative Assembly claim that this pack employs “a more refined particle system” than the gore from Shogun 2, and say that “gore coats combatants, the ground will become soaked with blood, and you’ll hear every stab, slash and impact with bespoke new sound effects.”

If this sounds like your idea of a good time — we won’t judge — then you can shell out $3 for it right here on Steam. It unlocks tomorrow.

surely this can easily be modded in via the steam workshop?

I think… this is a modable thing.

But I cannot deny that such addons are up my alley. Heck it’s probably the first of its kind.

$3 is pushing it for the price.

But hey. Their last blood pack was better than any mod. And this one is probably gonna be better than the shogun 2 one.

Medieval 2 had blood and gore standard.

So much for Free DLCs.

Its crap, it just adds red specs and a few sprays, shoguns was 10x better, this has NO dismemberment at all
