Titanfall dated for March 13 next year, $400 Collectors Edition unveiled

EA and Respawn have finally locked in the release date for Titanfall: March 13, 2014 (or March 14, for our NZ friends).

The release date is unfortunately two days behind our US friends, who unlock it on March 11 instead.

A brutally expensive $400 collectors edition has also been unveiled, complete with an 18-inch high, hand-painted, light-up battery-powered diorama of a Titan and foot troopers, and a hardcover art book. Predictably, it is exclusive to EB Games.

Our own Jason Imms had a go at Titanfall at this year’s EB Expo and came back grinning from ear to ear, and I’m terribly excited myself, when you consider gameplay like this. Roll on, March.

The CE statue is cool. Not $400 cool for me, but still, cool.

I think people are taking far too many leads from the Chris Roberts school of pricing stuff… 400 bucks for a game is nuts even with a statue included…

*low whistle* 400 big ones. I’d want a reach around after that!

Chris Roberts is funding the game by what he sell a completely different book i would say

It’s $249.00 everywhere I look, where did you get the $400.00 price tag from?

Is it one of those, I could buy it here and pay at lease twice as much, or just buy it online and pay way less. This is the case for everything you can purchase in AUS, and i mean everything.

It’s $400 in Australia, and only from EB games, and it appears only the Xbone version.

If you can find a US retailer that will ship it directly to Australia, post it up, I’m sure someone will be keen, so far I haven’t found one. (ie Amazon won’t ship it here)

13 march? really? you assholes thats when university goes back.
fuck you!!!!!!!

What’s with the really cool collectors only being Consoles at the moment… Batman collector editions was only console… Thank god my Black Chest for Assassins Creed 4 is PC…300 total for Australia… Heck Witcher 2 was only about 100 in Australia and that only cost me $250…but damn that is a nice statue.
And its pre-order online only…come on EB I can understand being able to pre-order from Uplay online but if your selling it and you have a physical shop let us order in shop.

At current trading rates
$250USD = $259.9293AUS
where is the extra $139.0707AUS

Why, it’s the Australia Tax of course!

I think the important news here is not the overpriced doll that some of you will no doubt be buying, it’s that the PC release date appears to be the same as the console date.
