Team Fortress Halloween 2013

It’s time to fire up those Steam clients, because Team Fortress 2‘s annual Halloween-thingie is upon us, and this year everyone is… a magician… on a new map where you… push a cart full of corpses. Yes. Okay.

“You’re all powerful magicians,” explain Valve. “Everybody gets a spellbook gifted to them automatically, which you can equip in your Action Slot in order to pick up and cast spells.” These magic abilities are of course only valid on the new ‘Helltower’ map, which Valve describe as “a magic-blasted, skeleton-infested terrorscape”. Excellent.

Over 100 new items — including one which makes the Scout’s head look like a pug — and 8 new achievements have also been added, and there is of course the obligatory excellent comic to read. Get all the details here.
