I'm a believer.

There are few games people are looking forward to more in 2014 than Project Eternity (other than Star Citizen, perhaps), and with player-owned strongholds being one of the biggest stretch goals, it makes sense that they would finally be given their own Kickstarter update.
In the update systems designer and wizard Tim Cain reveals that the stronghold will be given to players early on, before the end of Act I. However it’ll be old and delapidated to start with, and you’ll need to upgrade it by pouring money and time into improving various areas.
Resting at the stronghold grants you bonuses, and you can even leave idle companions who you aren’t taking in your immediate party behind, where they’ll have adventures of their own. If you’ve cleared out the dungeons below the stronghold, you’ll be able to use it as a prison to hold important NPCs — but don’t let your security level lapse or they’ll break out!
Quite frankly, it all sounds super delightful, and I’ve only touched on some of the details. Take a look at the full update and see for yourself.
