Just over a year after their confusingly lacklustre announcement, Taleworlds have finally revealed some in-progress images of Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord which actually look pretty sweet.

Take a look at some of these WIP screens below. You can find more of them at the official site.

Oh yeah baby. I still claim M&B to be amongst the best medieval combat games out there. One of the first of its kind too.

I’m very pleased with the graphics but for me it is the gameplay that got my addicted to the series (Since the original graphics were awful haha). The developers are very attuned to their community, moreso than most related companies and are introducing various features modders created to improve the next installment.

Fingers crossed this coming game becomes a hit around the world.

+1, warband definitely needs more hype!

Bannerlord graphics look great but fingers crossed they haven’t changed the combat – I’ve tried chivalry and war of the roses and IMO they don’t come close to M&B combat, which is relatively simple to learn and difficult to master.

I love me some Warband.
I’ve also tried Chivalry and WotR, fun for a bit but doesnt seem to hold my attention like Warband did/still does. Also I want Singleplayer! which neither of the other 2 really have. Controlling armies while being on the front line yourself is so fun. Warband having SP and MP made it stand out for me and for Bannerlord to follow suit.

Now back to Prophesy of Pendor…

Chivalry has the better combat and better multiplayer.

But mount and blade has the RPG elements that makes you plan to play for an hour and next thing you know its tomorrow.

And WOTR just sucks.
