DCS UH-1H Huey

The helicopter simulator DCS UH-1H Huey has now appeared on Steam, where you can purchase access to it for the princely sum of $44.99 USD.

After the Early Access period has ended, the Huey will revert back to its standard price of $49.99.

The Huey is the first helicopter “of conventional design” to be featured in the DCS series. To get the Huey (which is DLC) you’ll need the base game, DCS World — don’t worry though, it’s free.

Death Mittens

I got this during the DCS summer sale months back late June when it was down to $20 USD, it’s been a really enjoyable experience to fly the Huey and was a steal at that price though I do not think that I would spend $40+ on the module, I’d sooner recommend the A-10C which is definitely worth the $40.

It’s a really sweet ride and the sound effects… mmmmm baby!

As with Death Mittens though, it makes no sense in the DCS world (just like the Mustang) but is a fun diversion if you can get it while it’s on special.

The Huey is a great bird to fly, especially in 2 player coop – pilot and door gunner can have some great fun. DCS have just released the next high fidelity helicopter the DCS: MI-8MTV2 which features 4 player coop, great step forward:
