Company of Heroes 2 to receive two more free maps today

Company of Heroes 2 players can enjoy two new maps today: Rostov and Kharkov.

Rostov, a six-player map, is based on the WWII battle of the same name. Kharkov, a four-player map, is based on the city of the same name in the Ukraine. Khakov served as a site for multiple battles in WWII.

We praised Company of Heroes 2 for its excellent new engine but found a poor single player campaign and pay-to-win concerns held the title back. Get our review here.

How about some dedicated servers instead eh? eh?

if only the game wasnt totally awful.

The game is absolutely not pay to win. I use the stock commanders and have no problem. The game ATM is very stale which is a shame a few more map packs and patches mixed with a good steam sale should be enough to bring back the players

It is ‘pay to be disappointed’ though.

A whole new game thats not as good/fun as the first version with player made mods.

It’s almost like a throwback to the good old days where developers would provide extra content for free and not use it as a way to pinch our money
