In Watch Dogs, hacking isn’t just used in multiplayer; Aiden Pearce has plenty of netsec abilities at his disposal in single-player, too.
By hooking into Chicago’s CTOS network, Pearce can intercept phone calls and text messages, illicitly access computers, and rob bank accounts; using these skills repeatedly will increase his abilities over time, too.
Being hooked into the network provides other opportunities – Pearce will receive notifications of nearby criminals, and can pursue optional capture missions.
Watch Dogs is expected in November, assuming the PC version drops alongside the current-gen console release.
