EA have announced that SimCity will finally be arriving on the Mac on August 30.

The Mac version will be cross-compatible with the PC version, so there’s nothing to stop you building regions together with your friends.

If you’ve previously purchased SimCity on PC, your Origin client will automatically deliver the Mac version to you as well once you log in there.

SimCity‘s launch has unfortunately been plagued with problems, but a string of regular patches have addressed most of the crippling bugs. Read our review.

Wow, I didn’t think people cared this little about gaming on mac – makes me happy on the inside :D

Come on EA, isn’t just owning a Mac punishment enough for one lifetime?

Still no larger build sites?

Wonder if they’ve just repackaged it with Codeweavers CrossOver? Keen to play the game but with all the reviews I think I’ll sit it out.
