If you were going to get an International mate to buy you an uncensored copy, you may be out of luck!

Australians are a clever bunch. You tell us we’re getting a censored version of the game? We’ll find a way to circumvent it. At the moment, the standard trick is to get someone living outside Australia to buy a non-censored version of the game and gift it to your Australian Steam account. Unbox your gift and, voila! Uncensored copy!
There is a rumour circulating, however, that Steam is cracking down on this practice. Or at the very least, you may not be able to try it for Saint’s Row IV. It seems there may be region coding involved that will revert your copy to the Australian version if you play it in Australia, no matter which version you buy.
The original poster on the Steam forum thread discussing the issue received this from Steam customer support:
“The version of Saints Row IV that you will be receiving will depend on where you are physically located. If you gift the game to another country that does not have a Low Violence restriction, that user will receive a ROW version of the game.”
It doesn’t say specifically that your copy will revert to an uncensored version in Australia, but saying that the reverse will happen does imply something of the sort.
I want to emphasise again that this is all speculation and rumour, and we have reached out to Deep Silver for clarification. The forum posters who have been emailing for clarification for days, though, are yet to hear anything from either Deep Silver or Steam.
