At dawn on August 30, look to the east.

Monolith’s Tolkien-tastic MOBA The Guardians of Middle Earth has finally been announced for PC, after launching on consoles at the end of 2012.
Bizarrely, GoME will not be free-to-play: the base game will set you back $19.99 USD on Steam, or you can buy the ‘Mithril Edition’ for $79.99. The difference is in how many playable ‘Guardians’ are included, with the ‘Mithril Edition’ including them all but the base pack only featuring Gandalf, Galadriel, Thráin, Gollum, Hildifons and Legolas. Still, with both DotA 2 and League of Legends currently being free to play, it’s hard to imagine this will really draw any players away.
In a neat twist though, Warner Bros. are giving players who already own the game on console a free Steam key to enjoy it on PC as well. If that’s you, hit up the official website here and click on ‘Console Owners Steam Redemption’.
GoME arrives on PC August 30.
