Deep Silver announces the most appropriately over-the-top special edition ever, for Saints Row IV

Saints Row IV Wad Wad Edition

Stupidly expensive special editions of games have become a bit of a thing recently. We’ve seen Night Vision Goggles and AR Drones from Call of Duty, we’ve seen fancy watches and leather jackets from Resident Evil and really taking the cake was Grid 2‘s $190,000 special edition, which came with a Supercar and racing gear. And even that looks like garbage next to Deep Silver’s Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition for Saints Row IV, which will set its single purchaser back $1,000,000.

The Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition, first spotted by Rock, Paper, Shotgun is available to purchase through Game UK – and it comes with plenty of added extras. You get the game of course – the Commander in Chief Edition specifically – and you get a full size replica Dub-Step gun. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

You also get plastic surgery of your choice, a full day’s training as a spy, a Hostage Rescue Experience (it’s like real life SWAT 4 without the threat of getting tasered by your friends), a trip into space on the Virgin Galactic, 7 nights in the Top Royal Suite at the Burj-al-arab in Dubai, 7 nights at The Jefferson Hotel in Washington, first class flights for two to Washington and Dubai, a shopping spree with a personal shopper, a Toyota Prius, a Lamborghini Gallardo and one year’s membership to the E25 Super Car Club. What’s that Grid 2? One car? Pffft.

While the Saints Row IV Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition is only listed on the Game UK website and there is only one copy available, those who are interested in purchasing it are directed to email for more information, so it’s no doubt available to people wherever they live. Incidentally, if you were thinking about emailing Deep Silver for this fantastic deal, why not email me instead – for $1,000,000 you can have my copy of Saints Row IV and I will do things to you that would make my parents cry. I will probably cry too, if that’s a selling point.

I wonder how much extra we would need to pay for that pack in Australia?

Not enough money in the world to pay that and Australia tax.

I’d buy it except they wouldn’t give me a receipt.

Didn’t someone work out that it’s only worth 700k or so?

Since this is an overseas version, it would probably be confiscated by customs anyway.

Kickstarter anyone?

Yeah man, ArsTechnica (possibly among others?) did a little breakdown:

It was worth the read for a chuckle.

I’ll take two!

Yeah, they did, but they did not factor in the shopping sprees. I am sure someone could rack up the rest with that. lol
