Cyberpunk 2077 likely to contain both third and first-person perspectives

Cyberpunk 2077

Although we haven’t heard anything official out of CDProjekt RED in a while (other than to say they were hopeful the R18+ rating would mean an unchanged Witcher 3) but it looks like a presentation given by the company at the SIGGRAPH computer graphics conference.

The powerpoint presentation was spotted by NeoGAF member FACE, and reveals that the game will contain “mixed FPP/TPP”. Also mentioned in the slide is a “futuristic story-driven RPG and open world”, a “dense city environment and surrounding wastelands”, and “tons of customisation”.

No release date has yet been revealed for the game, but we do know that it will have some multiplayer elements and is very much approved by creator Mike Pondsmith.

You can download the presentation for yourself here.

hoping it’s better than the witcher. Couldn’t get into the first one too many buttons :S

hopefully it’ll be accessible but will still have some complexity

Nice, I’ve been looking for another good FPS cyberpunk game. Buying it for sure.

I’d recommend trying the second Witcher. I couldn’t get anywhere in the first game, it was just too clunky. But the second makes huge upgrades in pretty much every respect, it’s well worth trying.

I felt the same way when trying to play the first game, but I stuck with it and was rewarded with such a great story and culmination of many of the events that took place.

The Witcher 2 is much better control wise and presents a more cinematic experience than the first one.

I think that CDPR definitely know their stuff this time around and will deliver an amazing Witcher 3 but also Cyberpunk.

hobomaster,

Will give it a crack next time it’s on sale for cheap ;)
