Blizzard wraps up feature development in Hearthstone, moves onto bugfixing

Blizzard have announced that they are rolling towards a Hearthstone beta, with a new blog post from the development team claiming that an important milestone was reached last week as they are now feature-complete for the beta.

According to developer Jason Chayes, work is now complete on a revamped Arena, lots of quest tuning, and UI updates to clarify your next unlocks. The time until the beta launch is apparently not “days” but also not “months”, but hopefully somewhere in between. The North American beta will be first but fully localised betas for Europe, Korea and Taiwan will follow.

Beta testers who help test the in-game store by spending real money during the beta will be granted a Golden version card of Gelbin Mekkatorque, which won’t be available outside of the beta. A regular Gelbin Mekkatorque can be crafted, but the Golden edition will be exclusive to beta testers who spend cash on the store.

Blizzard also reports that the first iPad-PC duel has successfully been tested.

I wonder what kind of ridiculous criteria is need to gain one of these golden tickets called beta passes.

I was hoping to get a chance at the Diablo 3 beta before buying the expensive paper weight currently collecting dust on my shelf, but they must have forgotten that there is other lands across the sea.
Fool me once Blizzard… I definitely wont be putting my faith and hard earned money into another game from them.

Generally they require you to be maintaining a Wow subscription to get beta access.

Diablo 3 had an open beta period for a week where everyone that applied got into the beta. also you could have 4 people using the same account simultaneously during the beta source I had beta access that 3 other people were using with me for about 6 months.

maybe wait for reviews before buying a game your unsure on as a general rule from ANY developer … it’s usually the wise thing to do

Well, Diablo, 2 and LOD were all a major part of my gaming childhood, The moment they confirmed the third one I probably looked like that kid who received a N64 on his birthday, I naturally expected and hoped at the same time that it would do the series and those bloody spam bots justice. I was wrong….
