Activision have revealed a look at the gameplay of the upcoming fourth and final Black Ops 2 DLC, Apocalypse. The video shows footage from each of the four new multiplayer maps in the expansion, as well as from the final piece of the Zombies puzzle, ‘Origins’, which is set in a “Dieselpunk-stylized World War I-era France”.

The Apocalypse DLC is currently the subject of some controversy, with a concept artist claiming that Treyarch ripped off his work when creating it.

For some reason I’m okay with the abuse of a WW2 setting, but using WW1 because it’s “cool” just makes my blood boil… (And yes, I absolutely love the game Toy Soldiers)

I agree completely. Its pretty disgusting and its only going to further the CoD fans misunderstanding of history entirely. I guess we’ve now got a text book case for “how not to make a game about WW1″.

To be fair I guess nobody should have expected the developers of “they’re Russians/Arabs, shoot them!” to treat WW1 with respect.
