BioShock Infinite Rapture DLC won’t just re-use assets from original BioShock

Ken Levine has reassured fans that just because you’ll be returning to Rapture in the upcoming ‘Buried at Sea’ DLC, doesn’t mean that they’ll be returning to the BioShock development folder and just pulling out the old levels and textures.

“To be clear, Burial at Sea features mostly tweaked Infinite gameplay systems, not Bio 1 systems recreated from scratch,” said Levine on Twitter overnight.

“However, there is def. SOME new systems (weapon, plasmid, gear) but the level geo almost all new assets. Objects largely new. Story all new.”

Levine also mentioned that the hacking minigame from the original game will not be making a return — in part one, at least.
