Another expansion needed, and soon.

World of Warcraft has continued its decline in subscription numbers, now dropping below the 8-million mark at 7.7 million.
The numbers came as part of an industry email delivered by Activision’s analyst firm Robert W. Baird & Co, which revealed better-than-expected Q2 revenue for the company.
Most recently, World of Warcraft‘s subscriber numbers were pegged at 8.3 at the end of Q1, down from 10 million in October last year following the Mists of Pandaria launch.
Subscriber numbers traditionally fluctuate between each major release, but have been trending downward lately since hitting a peak of 12 million in 2010.
Blizzard recently revealed that they were adding in-game microtransactions to the title, perhaps in an effort to offset the impact of falling subscriptions.
