And it's already going nuts.

A game by the name of Satellite Reign just launched on Kickstarter over the weekend, and it’s touting itself as the spiritual successor to Syndicate — and why wouldn’t it? The man behind it is none other than Mike Diskett, who was lead designer on the original Syndicate Wars back in the day at Bullfrog.
Joining Diskett are four other industry veterans, who have formed a new Australian-based company by the name of 5 Lives Studios in Brisbane, and are asking for £350,000 of your Earth Moneys to fund their dream. They’re already at £108,193 with 28 days to go, so it certainly seems like there’s a market there.
5 Lives describe Satellite Reign as a “real-time, class-based strategy game” where you control four agents in a totally simulated city with fully realised traffic, day/night cycles, power grids, information networks and more. They insist that you “won’t be spoon-fed one mission after another”, and that “you’ll be able to use whatever means you can to get to your final goal”. Sounds pretty excellent, and the artwork is shaping up nicely too.
Head over to the Kickstarter page and check it out. Copies of the game are currently available for as little as USD $25.
