Take On Mars gets first gameplay trailer

Check out some sweet Rover action in this first gameplay trailer for Take On Mars. The latest in ArmA and DayZ developer Bohemia Interactive’s simulation series, Take On Mars has three game modes including an editor, and a dynamic destruction system which puts your robotic buddy at risk of breakage. It’s due on August 1 through Steam Early Access, and I think you’ll agree looks pretty slick already.

Bohemia did not make DayZ…

Not the mod at least… but perhaps they’re referring to the standalone. :)

Yeah they did, Rocket has always been employed by them and was making it in his spare time, immediately after the first version launched he was told to make that his full time job.

Saying Bohemia didnt make it is misleading, of course it’s a fact that 90% of new content has been made by the community, that’s more due to Bohemia having no idea how to develop a game though.

 

No he wasn’t, he was employed by Sidhe Interactive in NZ. Then he made DayZ, took a break from the industry then came back to be hired by Bohemia to make the DayZ standalone.

Its still was not originally made by Bohemia. One person making a mod who happens to work for them dose not = them making it.

 

Still struggling to understand why this game exists and why BI took the ‘Take On’ franchise in such a bizarre direction…

You guys claiming that bohemia didn’t make the game need to read, the article doesn’t say “the creators of Day Z” it says the developers, which is 100% correct, as Bohemia are developing Day Z now, with Rocket as the project lead.
