A new deal signed between Valve and Twitch.tv will enable users to link their Twitch.tv and Steam accounts together for quick and easy streaming.
This is being touted as especially big news for DotA 2 fans, who will be able to use Twitch.tv for watching live matches and receive item drops to their Steam account at the same time.
“We realize that people have different reasons why they prefer to watch in game or via streams and wanted to bridge the gap of features they were missing out on by choosing the service that works for them the most,” explain Valve in a post on the DotA 2 blog.
“We hope to expand on the features available via this system and would love to hear what you think we should work on next.”
Valve plans to expand on their partnership with Twitch into the future and enable even more streaming features to come.
