Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep won’t mark the end for Borderlands 2, with Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford saying that there’s more in the pipeline.

“Everyone has this expectation that those would be the four DLCs and then that’s it,” said Pitchford to The Nerdist Podcast. “We’re going to do more. We’re going to do some other things. We don’t have details yet about it exactly.”

“We’ve got more stuff in the hopper that we’re planning and that we’re getting pretty excited about. So if you are a Borderlands fan, you don’t have to be afraid that that’s the end of it.”

Pitchford also confirmed that a new IP is on the way from Gearbox, “an original IP for the next generation that we’ll announce sometime later”. Vague!

“…And they won’t be included in all your season passes lol problem /trollface.jpg?”

I’m probably alone on this but I still want them to die.

stoibs,

I’m ok with that. If they do a second season pass that includes the Psycho i’d be keen. Though tbh i’d rather they move on to Borderlands 3 now, you can’t do DLC forever and the ending to Tiny Tina was a good send off for the BL2 saga.

New IP also seems strange since you’d assume they already have Borderlands, Duke Nukem and Homeworld stuff all on the horizon.

HOMEWORLD! PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU!
You can even take my Bank account!

Hmm, yeah “Season 2″ could work – Price depending.
Just my Knee Jerk musings as it was the first time I’ve seen a “Season Pass” sort of deal thingy that actually *didn’t* include all future Dlc.

Also… What future Duke Nukem stuff on the Horizon.. O.o
Now I’m Intrigued..

The DLC has felt like a bit of a grind to me. Maybe I’m all Borderlandsd out.

Wont be buying anymore Gearbox games, after what they did with Aliens, simply a disgrace.

after aliens the only good news from gearbox would be them going out of business

Really? I wouldn’t think it good news for anyone to go out of business but suit yourself…

One bad game wont ruin Gearbox.. everyone has an off game they develop.. not that Aliens was completely just Gearbox either.

“I didn’t wait for reviews now i’m going to throw a tantrum”

I have little sympathy for people like that. You’re right every developer makes a sub par product sometime. Aliens was particularly dodgy but honestly the only thing I care about from gear box is the borderlands franchise.

Other than borderlands stuff i’ll always wait to see the reviews
