Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest Competition: The Winners

Borderlands 2 Competition

By on July 3, 2013 at 5:46 pm

Gather round, gather round — we’ve been going through all the entries to our Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest competition. Thanks to a ruthless judging process of dramatically reading each entry aloud and then measuring the resulting giggles on a high-quality audiometer, we’re now able to present to you the four winners, two of whom will be walking away with an Ultimate Loot Chest, and two of whom will walk away instead with a Deluxe Vault Hunter Edition.

Remember, these editions are completely sold out in stores — so you can’t get them anywhere else! And with Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep wrapping up the DLC festivities (read our review here) now is a perfect time to experience it all.

And now — the winners.

Ultimate Loot Chest Winners

The Warner Bros/Looney Tunes Acme Gun:

Seemingly ineffective, it shoots blanks (or a flag with ‘Bang!’ written on it will pop out the barrel), but the player will quickly discover at random times large comical objects (such as oversized anvils, pianos, wrecking balls, meteorites, Concrete Donkey’s etc), will fall from the sky with a screaming dive bomber sound effect and splatter enemies into hundreds of little giblets with an over-the-top blood particle spray.

The C.H.E.S.T (Charged Helix Entity Shock Transference) Cannon a.k.a. The Loot Launcher.

This gun shoots guns you’ve collected in your inventory, but also has a chance to launch up to 4 guns at once, which will be fired in a loot chest dealing massive damage. Once you’re out of guns to shoot, it starts firing small chests with money or ammunition.

These fired chests have a small chance to be collectable. The damage would be determined by the rarity of the loot fired (or amount of ammunition/money).

Fast Forward / Rewind Gun

Primary Fire Fills the Enemy with bullets, Alt Fire sucks the bullets back into the gun doing elemental damage!

You want an insane new weapon? Well I am going to give you a MAD new weapon.

Inspired by the Cold War philosophy of Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD), I present the MAD gun. It features two barrels, one facing forwards and one facing backwards. Pull the trigger and not only do you shoot your opponent, but also, as John Lennon so succintly put it, instant karma’s gonna get you.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Check your PM inbox on our forum soon for a message from me, so I can grab all your shipping details and information.

Thanks to everyone who entered, and thanks to 2K and Gearbox for the sweet prizes. Keep an eye out for our next competition, coming very soon…

Grats winners!

Awesome. :D Thanks guys! And congrats to everyone else who won and also entered. These comps always get a lot of great creative entries, I feel lucky to be one of the winners. Thanks again. :)

Gratz to the Winners!

congrats guys wish i was a winner lol :( maybe someday soon i hope

Some very nice entries there! I only remember reading sokhar’s before I posted. I also didn’t think it was possible to have a good but succint short entry although Juiceness proved that wrong.
