The Witcher 3 to have no load times, improved and reworked combat

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

CDProjekt RED have confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will use the power of the new REDEngine3 to ditch loading screens entirely.

“Thanks to new technology on REDEngine3, we were actually able to create a world without loading screens,” claimed gameplay producer Marek Ziemak in an interview with OnlySP.

Ziemak also confirmed that combat will be extended from The Witcher 2, saying “You have new ways to dodge enemies and parry their blows. But also, for each magical sign, you can use two versions of it. One is extended.”

“For example, the Igni sign has a constant flamethrower thing whereas there’s also single, more destructive blow of fire. This is one of the new elements. We’re also introducing new alchemical potions, and other minor elements that will change the experience.”

Also confirmed in the interview is the continuity of voice actors, with Ziemak stating that CDPR would be attempting to retain as many as possible, even in additional non-English languages.

This is turning into an insta-buy for me. It’s sounding better and better.

Hell yeah, this will be the only game I’ll be preordering in the immediate future. CDProjekt RED seem to be the only developers I trust anymore….

These games are pretty high on my list of reasons for why I want to quit my job and live off of the dole! :P

The Witcher 3 trailer got me back into the first one. Might actually finish it this time around. A witcher without so many loading screens is a definite plus.

If i pay twice as much, can I have it twice as soon?

InAUGral,

Also replaying 1, so I can replay 2 with the new combat mod, then bitch and moan about how long I have to wait for 3.

kinistoniscool

CANT WAIT so bad, replaying 1 and 2 all decisions and sides, along with reading the novels :D

Ooshp and others

Same looking forward to this one, and that mod for 2 sounds really good.

haha yeah watching these trailers, i need to really finish the first and get into the 2nd!
loved what i played of the first, heaps of choices which is cool. The combats unique, not a huge fan of it, but its works lol Moving around was a pain sometimes as well, but i can let all that go because its so unique, love the settings, characters etc.
I heard the 2nd is jsut as good as well :D

My computer is dying very quickly… And this will be its glorious, beautiful death knell. It will die doing what I love, which is how I hope everyone will die one day.
