Battlefield 3′s Close Quarters DLC is free to download during E3

Battlefield 3 Close Quarters

If you don’t have Battlefield Premium, or perhaps you’re bored on a Wednesday night, or indeed any number of other reasons, you might want to check out the Close Quarters DLC for free.

To acquire this DLC for yourself is quite simple: just fire up your Origin client and enter ‘BF3E3′ into the Redeem Product Code section (it’s under the ‘Origin’ menu at the top).

I’ve just done it myself with no dramas, so presumably you (like me) will need to own a copy of the game but not the expansion itself. Anyway, enjoy!

You can activate it on the website without having to own base BF3, just for those that want the DLC and not the game, lol.

Is this just a PC only thing? I play BF3 on PS3 from time to time, be interesting if they have something for that too..must fire it up and see.

*Sigh* Origin/EA website is so bad. Doesn’t let me redeem it as it “times out”. Oh well. Not like I play BF3 anyway.

It’s for all platforms. PS3/XBOX360 & PC (Origin)

todesangst,

Cheers, will now look into how to grab it on PS3 :)

EDIT – Ok fired up BF3 on the PS3, in the games main menu went to “store” and found it listed for free there and installed.

I don’t play it enough to bother getting Premium and only had picked up Back to Karkand before, so this is a nice little addition :)

Just getting back in to battlefield and never got around to getting premium, so this was a godsend for ma. Thanks for the article!

The worst of the expansion packs.

Thank You Tim.

Now i Have them All :D
