Assassin’s Creed IV will be delayed on PC, nobody is surprised

For some reason the team behind Assassin’s Creed can’t seem to master the fine art of releasing PC and console versions at the same time — something that the team behind Far Cry 3 apparently have no issues doing.

Game director Ashraf Ismail claimed to ElderGeek that the PC version would arrive “a few weeks after” the console version, but promised that it would be the prettiest game at the ball.

“We’re working hard on the PC version. It’s one of the main platforms we work on in the office. For our PC fans, don’t worry. The game on PC looks phenomenal.”

Not to be overly cynical, but a similar delay didn’t help Assassin’s Creed III, whose PC graphics options ultimately turned out less than impressive. Unlike, again, Far Cry 3 — whose PC support was amazing, and which looked incredible on a beastly machine.

Very strange. Look for it around the end of November, then.

I thought the title was AC 4 delayed on PC, nobody cares.

Because if you aren’t sick of AC now you soon will be with the next 3 games in development.

 

I haven’t played an AC game since 2. Already sick of the series. True story.

 

Similar to Vcatkiller, i stopped at AC2. I know the last two italy based games have desmond in it, anyone able to say if the American one is based on Desmond as well? or someone else? If so I wonder if the pirate one will also be based on someone else of if they’ve scrapped the whole matrix / dna history thing…

 

AC3:America is more Desmond focused than the others.
I heard 4 is based on some other guy.
