Company of Heroes 2 trailer reminds you that war is actually pretty bad

Company of Heroes 2

Although war is generally agreed to be “pretty awful” by everybody who has ever been through it, many video games gloss over that fact –especially when there are bad guys that need killing. Well, Company of Heroes 2 is keen to remind you of the horror of war, even if you’re somewhat detached from it when you’re ordering dozens of tiny little soldier-men to their deaths on a whim.

Enjoy! Or, perhaps, don’t. Company of Heroes 2 lands in Australia on June 26.

Mummy, when will Daddy respawn?? :(

nastywetsmear,

Laughed harder then i should have lol.

“Company of Heroes 2 trailer reminds you that war is actually pretty bad”

and the game isn’t much better.
Was expecting more then just COH 1 with snow storms.

My browser cut off the last word and I read the title as “Company of Heroes 2 trailer reminds you that war is actually pretty.”

nastywetsmear,

Honey, I’m so sorry, daddy was on wireless, sometimes people’s connections just, disconnect… You’ll see him again one day, offline. I promise…

aetherfox,

Damn straight it is!

It is important to note that I had a joke here that was AMAZING but woefully offensive…

PinothyJ,

SAY IT. I DEMANDS IT TO BE UTTERED. Seriously don’t leave us hanging like that dude.

Well you’re misinformed aren’t you…

Cool trailer, looking forward to this. Those russians sure were/are crazy lol

Beta was too rad, I’m twitching for the full game!

I hope the singleplayer is on par with the original in terms of tone and story. Looks a bit hammy from this trailer.

Reminds me a lot of Men of War: Red Tide, and being Company of Heroes, likely to have less features. Being said, haven’t played a fun spammy RTS like CoH for a while, so hopefully the action will cover all that up.

yet the game has a name of Company of Heroes which suggests nothing but hell yea we are awesome, invincible and we shit gold bricks.

Though I am guessing this is the kind of atmosphere the name is meant to create:

Original CoH was more enjoyable.

Also another game with no actual gameplay influenced trailer.

There is no offline! Or Santa Clause! These are just things parents say to children to soften the blow of reality! DON’T BUY THE LIE!!

Hey, it DOES look pretty rad.

No, I’ve been playing the beta, Its COH 1 with snow storms and no blitzkreig mod to actually make it fun.

nastywetsmear,

Heresy! It was, is and will be that every Saturday us true believers imbibe the body and the blood of our one glorious saviour, Starsus Chraft (pre-schism brood war), that we will ascend to offline play in the hereafter. For he has shown us the promised LAN.

massive coh1 fan, was so pumped for this and it is utter garbage, they destroyed the game and flow. such a shame :(
