Black Ops 2 multiplayer is free this weekend on PC, game on sale

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

If you’re interested in trying Black Ops 2, then it’s your lucky… weekend! The multiplayer modes of the game will be free this weekend, and there will be double XP for anybody who plays.

To celebrate giving things away for free, Activision are putting the game up for cheap — it’s now 33% off, down to $60 on Steam.

Of course if you really want to save money, it’s only around $45 at most CD key retailers because, hey, the Australia Tax. Anyway, get in!

$60 or even $45 is still far to much for what is essentially a “mod” of an existing game on the same game engine, heck some Free-to-play games provide more entertainment value…

I remember playing this for about thirty minutes..and have never gone back. Same thing happened with MW3 multiplayer actually.

Played it for about 15mins, every time I got into a match it froze after a few mins, can’t be bothered sorting out the reason as it wont be worth it anyway.

And have to install their DRM-spyware-adware-unwanted program suite?

No thanks!

You’d have to pay me $50. And that would just make it worthwhile to take the offer up and then immediately remove the software.

It is. Everything was great with CS 1.5 but that all came to a crashing end.

Can’t believe $60 for a 6 month old game is considered a sale.

tyger3000,

Your joking right?
Have you been in to EB Games “Sales”?
MW2 normal retail price is 89 dollars still at most of the stores
69 on sale.

Who buys from EB anymore? I was referring to the fact that when other triple A titles go on sale on steam the discount is huge (Tomb Raider was around $30 a few days ago and that’s only a couple of months old), but when a CoD game goes on sale it only drops down to a new release price. It’s sad that so many people are still putting up with this.
