Trent Oster, the man behind Beamdog and the recent Enhanced Edition of the iconic RPG Baldur’s Gate has given a short status update on the progress of the Enhanced Edition of the sequel.
“We’re hard at work on BG2:EE and it is going well,” Oster claimed to ShackNews. “Phil (our design lead) mentioned to me there is over 350,000 words of new content.”
Oster explained that this number related to both Shadows of Amn and the Throne of Bhaal expansion. Beamdog’s plan was for the remake of Baldur’s Gate 2 to take precedence over any DLC plans for the first game, and Oster confirmed that this was still the case.
No release date for the Enhanced Edition of Baldur’s Gate 2 has yet been given.
