Lord of the Rings Online recreates Helm’s Deep

Helm's Deep 580x300

Middle Earth is set to expand with developer Turbine announcing that it will soon add Helm’s Deep to the already sprawling fantasy world.

The game’s fifth major expansion will not only allow fans to visit the titular valley, but also to participate in the gargantuan battle featured in the climax of J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendary novel The Two Towers. Helm’s Deep will feature a range of new quests, some involving key figures such as Aragorn and Éowyn. Long time players will also be pleased to hear that the level cap is increasing from 85 to 95.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Helm’s Deep is scheduled to launch in spring. Turbine hasn’t seen fit to share any screenshots as yet, so for the time being we’ll have to make do with this (admittedly rather handsome) logo.

Seems like each expansion has less content than the last, but at the same price.

Then you are going to hate the next expansion – Frodo’s front lawn!
