Sonic Generations Unleashed mod brings HD hedgehog racing to your PC

Sonic Generations Unleashed

By on March 21, 2013 at 2:51 pm

If you own Sonic Generations on Steam, why not pump it to the next level by downloading the Sonic Generations Unleashed mod from our file library?

The mod adds high-resolution textures, as well as many of the console-exclusive levels from the Xbox 360 release of the game, all redone in HD for the PC.

The project is a massive undertaking, and in fact was so good that it caused Cas to be late to work today. Download it right now and save yourself 2.3 GB (iiNet Group customers only, naturally).

Fantastic, can’t wait to get home and download it! Who doesen’t love a good old game of Sonic in Full HD, awesome stuff!

This mod confuses me but I think i’ve figured out that it doesn’t touch Sonic Generations at all but instead brings the Sonic Unleashed levels into a campaign for Sonic Unleashed. Sounds cool, downloading now. :)

Trailer is worth watching if you are unsure what this is! :)

Fun fact, the console versions of sonic generations run at 30 FPS. Play the Pc version and you can immediatly tell the difference.

I would assume that the Unleashed levels on console are 30FPS as well. So try the 60FPS goodness today!

jeza104,

When I learned of that I really had to wonder how they could cope! Sonic just doesn’t feel right at 30FPS.

Anyway, downloading now. Played the demo of this mod when it came out. It’s absolutely fantastic.

It’s Sonic Unleashed without the bad bits? Awesome.
